On-site Accommodation
There are 64 bedrooms on-site:
- 2 single rooms, ground floor, with accessible en-suite bathroom (extra large, walk-in shower, grip bars around toilet). To book one of these please contact Bookings@scottishpotters.org to discuss what room option best suits your needs.
- 34 twin bedrooms with en-suite bathroom (shower and toilet).
- 28 triple bedrooms with en-suite bathroom (shower and toilet). All have one single bed, and either a standard good-sized bunk bed, or a second single bed with a platform bed above. As the latter is more stable these will be allocated to any triple bookings.
Bedding is provided but you will need to make your bed upon arrival, and strip the bed before leaving. Bring your own towel!
Bedrooms are spread over 2 buildings, and 2 floors in each building. Please ask for a ground floor room during registration if you struggle with stairs.
These rooms can only be booked for 2 nights by delegates who attend the full weekend. All meals are included.
Sharing accommodation
To increase capacity some rooms will be set aside for sharing as twins or triples. There are two ways to book a shared room:
- If you and 1 or 2 friends have agreed to share:
- Both/all of you need to do the basic registration first. Make sure to select "Full Weekend" attendance.
- One of you can then select the name(s) of the people they are sharing with and select a room
- This will be added to the registration for all people in the room, and each person can now pay
- You can book a bed in a twin or in a triple room. We will then allocate people to rooms.
Campervans
As parking is limited we cannot fit a lot of campervans on-site. Places are limited to delegates who attend the full weekend, and booking of these spaces includes all meals, similar to booking other on-site accommodation.
There are NO facilities onsite other than access to toilets in the Allan building. So no electric hook-up, no showers, no grey water or chemical disposal, and no access to kitchen facilities.
Alternative options, which you can combine with day tickets and optional meal bookings:
- Wild parking in a layby. While this is not allowed everywhere this is a quiet time on the island. https://millport.org/frequent-questions/camping-mobile-homes/
- https://www.garrisonhousecumbrae.com/motorhome-site No showers, some access to toilets, electric hookup & service points (TBC)
- https://millport.org/directory/millport-holiday-park/ Details TBC.
Local accommodation
There is a range of self-catering and B&B accommodation. Millport is a short drive or bike ride, or a 30-45 min walk away from the Centre. These are some of the options:
- https://www.westbourne-house.com/ Self catering cottages and static caravans
- https://millportholidayapartments.co.uk/ 1 and 2 bedroom apartments
When booking please select "No Accommodation needed" after the initial basic registration. You can book dinner and/or breakfast separately if you would like to join us for some of the meals. Lunch is included with day tickets.
