Unlike previous years we are not selling tickets via BookWhen, but are using an integrated booking system that is part of the website. Booking is expected to open in the middle of December.
Some notes:
- You need to be an SPA member to book for the Spring Gathering. You use your normal website login to access the booking system. Make sure you get your membership application in now if you are not yet a member, as it can take up to a week to be processed!
- The first step is a basic registration. At this point you are not committed and you are not guaranteed a place. Only after you have made choices about accommodation and have made a payment your booking is final.
- You can return to your booking at any time to continue the process and finalise your choices. You can make changes up to early January, but make sure you pay before 10th January - we need to pay the venue in full at that date.
- After that date you can still make certain changes. Please contact us to discuss if needed.
- Later additions, especially day visitors, may be possible but please check with us first. However, if you have any dietary requirements please let us know before the end of January to make sure the venue has time to prepare.
Room sharing:
Because this is a new venue and location we don't know how many delegates to expect. The recent survey showed a large interest, but we appreciate that the date and venue changes mean that some people are now unable to attend.
If we have a good uptake of tickets we need some members to share a room so that as many of us as possible can stay on-site. We have put the following in place:
- The booking system allows you to book a shared room with friends (either twin or triple).
- You can also just book a bed and we will allocate you to a room with others.
- Initially, we have set aside some rooms that can only be booked for sharing, to ensure we have enough beds for everyone.
- We will keep an eye on bookings, and will re-assign rooms as needed, for example from single to twin or the other way around. So if you were unable to book your first choice of room check your email regularly as changes will be announced via an E-bulletin.
- It is possible to change your original room booking and select a different room, either using the booking system or by contacting us via email at Bookings@scottishpotters.org. So if you book a single room you can later choose to share with a friend when rooms are full, or if you share you can change to a single if more single rooms become available.
- If you change your booking and have already paid you can pay the difference via the booking system. If you are due a refund then this will be processed after the Spring Gathering.
