Based in Aberdeenshire, I make hand-built and thrown pieces which celebrate nature, the fantastical and whimsical, often quirky and full of colour & detail. I started playing with clay in a pottery class in 2004 and fell in love. Since then, I have incorporated many pottery techniques into my work which has been shown in galleries in Scotland and England.
For me, working with clay is a mixture of art, science and a little bit of magic and what's not to like about that - the only limit is our imagination. I like my pieces, functional and sculptural, to tell a story, to bring a smile and to touch the wild magical heart in us all.
